Who We Are at LRCustomHomesLLC
LR Custom Homes LLC is a Houston, Texas home builder led by owner and president Larry Reynolds. The company was founded in 2007 to serve families who want the highest standards in new home construction and home renovation, and it remains a personal, owner-run business today.
Building on your home site is our specialty — and if you don’t have one, we can help you with that as well. Consultations and estimates are always free, and depending on your preference, we can build on a cost-plus or fixed contract basis.
We partner with outstanding architects, realtors and home decorators/designers in the Houston area, so every part of your project — from the lot to the last finish — is handled by people who share our standards.

How LRCustomHomesLLC Builds Your Custom Home
Our process shows how a typical design and build evolution works — clear steps, honest numbers and no surprises.

Start a conversation
We discuss your vision for your new home, including size, design and specifications. If a home site has not already been selected, we work to find a location for your new home.

Design with an architect partner
Once a home site is established, we begin home design with one of our architect partners. An extensive interview process determines the complete layout of the new home.

Review preliminary plans
The architect delivers a preliminary set of plans for review. We discuss floor plan design and flow, cosmetic and decorating elements and ideas for cost savings. Revisions are made at this stage, and we can provide a rough estimate of cost.

Engineering and final budget
When the final architectural plans are complete, a preliminary construction budget is prepared and the plans go to structural engineering for foundation and framing requirements. After engineering, we prepare an accurate final budget based on the finished plans, engineering and specifications.

Contract — then we begin!
Upon approval of the final budget, we prepare a contract signed by both parties, including an extensive list of specifications and allowances, a draw schedule and a final price. Then construction begins.
